A Dean's List of undergraduate students is compiled at the end of the fall and spring semesters and posted in the School of Continuing Studies uptown office as well as online. To be eligible for the Dean's List, students must earn a grade-point average of 3.40 or greater. Students who earn a grade of U on any courses taken on a satisfactory/unsatisfactory basis are not eligible to be on the Dean's List. Part-time students must pass at least 6 credits, excluding those earned in courses taken on a satisfactory/unsatisfactory basis.

Superior baccalaureate students are recognized at graduation by the award of the distinction cum laude. To qualify, a student must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.40, must have earned at least 36 credits at Tulane University, excluding those earned in courses on a satisfactory/unsatisfactory basis, and must be receiving a bachelor's degree.

The Theta Chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda is a national scholastic honor society for part-time college students, and invitations for membership are extended each year in the spring semester to qualified juniors and seniors. To be eligible, students must be enrolled on a part-time basis in a degree program, have attended the School of Continuing Studies for at least three semesters, earned at least 36 credits at Tulane, and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.2.
